Manual Description Make sure the lever returns to its original position and the seatback is locked in place by attempting to push it forward and backward. The second-row seat area is difficult to see from the rear of the vehicle. Your vehicle is equipped with head restraints on all outboard seats and the second-row center seat. Return the seatback to its original position by pulling the strap/lever on the back of the seatback. Make sure the seatback is secured by attempting to lightly move it forward and back. Mazda recommends that the driver and all passengers always wear seat belts.

These belts have retractors with inertia locks that keep them out of the way when not in use. Never use one belt for more than one person at a time and always operate the vehicle with each occupant properly restrained. The front seat belt retractors remove slack quickly as the air bags are expanding.
