Thanks Stan I have a deal on the back burner for this 300 kit, but got called out of town for work, so I didn't want to commit to buying it until I have my ducks lined up and know what it's gonna cost me to get it in the air. If it were you, would you buy the Hirobo 300 or the vario kit and put it on skyfox mechanics. It seems that the fuse parts for the Hirobo kit are getting very scarce. So if you have an OOPS, you're screwed. All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them.you only find it after you crash!! PM Attn:RR Quote. It also allows the motor to spool up and creates about the same sound as a turbine.so it helps add a 'cool' factor. Doc I thought you were the Century/Fun-key Man! Make it Happen! To tell you the truth, it has been months since I could buy the Lexan version of the Schweizer 300 canopy. The last time I bought one as a back-up I bought it from eHirobo in Hong Kong and that was early last year. I crashed early this year and cracked that canopy badly so I had to use my spare. They have been SOLD OUT for months now at eHirobo and I fear that it will NEVER come in after reading the post from Gorhambirds above.

BMichels, No, it isn't the same, but it looks very close. Here is that Kyosho S300 model and there are more pictures in my gallery. I have found the Hirobo part number. 0402-413, 30 SW CABIN SET.
Is showing it out of stock at the moment but it is fairly cheap at $37.00 USD. I'm not sure they will ever have it again as it has been out for many months.
I will have to weigh the canopy later as I'm not able to do so at the moment. I do think (as Copter Doctor said. So i dont think weight would even be a concern.) it doesn't add much weight to the helicopter for any of the fuselages whether the newer FRP model or the lexan unit. Thanks for the Link! PM Attn:RR Quote. Gentlemen, Well,the expected had happened. My radio glitched and my Hirobo Schweizer crashed with the canopy write off. A check with a well known rc shop in Japan for the Lexan canopy,no longer in production. What they have are,402-419 and 402-420.
Even after discount, its still expensive to buy b'cos of the EMS postage. Even all the Runryder brothers here from the WESTERN HEMISPHERE agreed it is expensive.This heli is not even a full scale model but semi naked and Hirobo asking price is too much.What a rip off,excuse me for been direct. It seems Hirobo is manipulating the cost of the canopy for more profit gain,I think. If not why should 402-413 stop productions then? This is my first semi scale heli and I bought it thinking maintnenance will be economical to repair if the unexpected should happened. I am wrong and hope to share this with all the members out there before buying this heli. Maybe our brothers from the U.S can 'twist' Hirobo's arms to produce 402-413 again or reduce 402-419 cost thru their representative,MRC inc.

Maybe this should be call Hirobo semi scale Vulture 30 for obvious reason. This is the 30 sized Century S-300 kit with the fiberglass fuselage with the opening doors etc. That Copter Docter is refering too. I have had one for many years mounted on their older Hawk 4 cycle kit nthat was called a Pheonix, that uses the four stroke OS52FS motor. It is no powerhouse relative to the OS-32SXH but it flies around scale like very well and really sounds a treat. You can also get it with Hawk mechanics: I have had one crash with it a couple of years ago, and found they sold all the scale bits I needed (canopy & windscreen) at reasonable prices.
Robogyro, We ALL feel your pain my Brother. I can't tell you how nervous I felt flying the S300 around yesterday. I was glad when the day was done and it went home in one piece.

I think I will put it on the shelf for a few months and HOPE something good happens. OF, Thanks for the link, it was posted earlier on the 4th. The problem is the fuselage with extra bits is about $240 USD, we are trying to stay away from anything remotely close to $100. Copter Doctor said it was around that price some time ago but it may have been a LONG TIME AGO. It would be insane to pay $240 when we need to replace the Hirobo Lexan Unit when it broke. I am screwed if I crash and crack my lexan bit up.
