MagnAndy, I am doing the carbs on my 85 Magna and in my notes from your posts you talk about Rizlone Real Seal Repair.
Do you mean Rislone Rear Seal Repair? How would you use it on rubber parts? I also read the oil of wintergreen and alcohol version to soften the rubber. Looks like a good route to take. Thanks, Vegas Magna You are welcome!!
And yup REAR seal sorry for the typo - and I paint it on with a small artist's brush when I do diaphragms - both sides. And then I let it sit for as long as I can - some times weeks. Then I wipe it off with paper towels. According to the Quality Manager and Product Application Specialist at Rislone - that product can also be safely added to the oil of wet clutch equipment like our bikes.
I just got my honda magna 700 running. It's running great however I have a few questions: 1.) Does anyone know a website that I can download a pdf owners manual for free for the magna.
2.) Does anyone know what the lights mean on the instrument panel. I noticed a red light is staying on. But they're not labeled. 3.) My back light tail light is on, but the brake light isn't coming on when I hit the front or back brake. Any suggestions.
I checked the fuses they looked good, the bulb seems to be good 4.) Thanks for any help I can get: clap. I just got my honda magna 700 running. It's running great however I have a few questions: 1.) Try another bulb - a new one is never a bad thing.

If the bulb is good then I'd be looking at the wiring as it would be unusual for both brake light switches to fail at the same time, but it is possible.
